Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern

Dewberry is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in our Fairfax, VA office. You will work on all phases of civil/municipal engineering including water and sanitary sewer design. Typical projects involve helping local, state, and regional clients solve complex water and wastewater challenges.

Responsibilities

• Work on all phases of civil/municipal engineering including water and sanitary sewer design.
• Assist local, state, and regional clients in solving complex water and wastewater challenges.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Previous internship experience preferred.
• Solid oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency using CADD is a plus.
• Desire to work in a team environment.

Pay

Salary Range: $18.75/hour - $29.75/hour. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.

Summer Intern Program

During the summer intern program, interns gain hands-on project experience, develop technical skills, and put their classroom knowledge into action. Our interns are assigned meaningful work and are given the opportunity to work on projects similar to what they would be engaging with as a full-time employee.
