About the role
The purpose of this classification is to perform skilled technical work to operate, control and maintain equipment at a water treatment plant to maintain compliance with applicable local, state, and federal environmental rules and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Operate and control water treatment plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Monitor water quality parameters and adjust processes as necessary to meet regulatory standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on plant equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Document all activities and results in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Respond to emergencies and incidents related to water treatment operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Georgia Driver’s License.
- Experience operating water treatment plant equipment.
- Knowledge of water treatment processes and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Completion of a relevant training program in water treatment operations.
- Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting water treatment plant equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
Skills
- Proficiency in using water treatment plant monitoring and control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret water quality reports and regulatory documents.
- Good communication skills to interact with customers and other staff members.

Pay
- $15.00 - $18.00 per hour based on experience.
