Water Treatment Operator

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain chiller treatment, RO humidification systems, water softeners, boiler treatment, and DI systems for optimal performance.
• Test and record water quality parameters, including hardness, pH, conductivity, and chemical concentrations.
• Adjust chemical dosages and system settings to maintain specified water quality levels.
• Conduct regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on water treatment equipment.
• Troubleshoot system problems and perform corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate logs, records, and documentation for compliance and reporting.
• Manage inventory of treatment chemicals and supplies.
• Adhere to safety, environmental, and regulatory guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with facility management regarding system status and maintenance needs.

Basic Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Poly Clearance is required to be considered.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of water treatment systems in commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or facilities environments.
• High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s degree or technical training in water treatment preferred).
• Experience with water treatment systems, especially chillers, RO, softeners, boilers, and DI systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or technical training in water treatment preferred.
• Certified Water Treatment Operator Chiller water treatment knowledge.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
• Work in varying environmental conditions (hot, cold, wet, or noisy areas).
