Water & Sewer System Operator I or II

About the role

The Town of Johnstown, Colorado is actively recruiting a Water & Sewer System Operator to join their dynamic and passionate team. This role positively impacts the community by operating, maintaining, and repairing the town’s water distribution and wastewater collection systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair the Town’s water distribution system and wastewater collection system infrastructure.
• Manage the raw water transmission system, potable distribution system, treatment plants, elevated tanks, pump stations, pressure zones, and pressure reducing valves (PRVs).
• Oversee the wastewater collection system, treatment plants, and lift stations.

Requirements

• A minimum of one year of experience working in water distribution, wastewater collection, or a related field.
• CCWP Class 2 certification in Water Distribution.
• CCWP Class 2 Sewer Collection certification.
• A Class A CDL with airbrake and tanker endorsements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Pay

Expected hiring range: $26.91 - $35.53/hour, depending upon experience.
