About the role

We are seeking a Wastewater Treatment Project Manager who is passionate about delivering high-quality wastewater solutions and leading projects that make a measurable difference. This role involves managing the full lifecycle of wastewater treatment projects, including new facilities, expansions, and upgrades.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of wastewater treatment projects, including new facilities, expansions, and upgrades
  • Lead process evaluation and design for primary, secondary, and tertiary systems, including biological nutrient removal (BNR)
  • Evaluate and optimize treatment processes such as activated sludge, MBR, SBR, trickling filters, and advanced systems
  • Develop solutions for biosolids treatment, including digestion and dewatering
  • Oversee process modeling, mass balance analyses, and capacity evaluations
  • Prepare and present technical reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Support permitting and regulatory compliance
  • Provide construction-phase services, including submittal review, RFIs, field inspections, and startup/commissioning
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting business development efforts

Requirements

Key requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field, Professional Engineer (PE) license, 8+ years of experience in wastewater treatment design and process engineering, strong expertise in municipal wastewater treatment and nutrient removal, proven experience managing projects, delivering on time and within budget, excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, and experience with process modeling tools such as BioWin or GPS-X and funding programs (SRF, USDA Rural Development).

Pay

$135,000 - $150,000 / year
