About the role

The Water Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Wastewater Treatment Project Manager with a focus in wastewater infrastructure design and in-depth design engineering experience in municipal conveyance and pumping systems for immediate employment in our Cleveland or Columbus office.

Responsibilities

  • Performs various management, leadership, and people accountability responsibilities for a specific technical group or department.
  • Has full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating technical assignments.
  • Generally requires multi-disciplinary knowledge of engineering.
  • Plans and develops engineering tasks concerned with unique or controversial problems.
  • Maintains liaison with units within the organization and individuals inside and outside of the organization.
  • Responsible for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to the field.
  • Manages group of engineers and/or technicians, coordinating activities of the unit.

Requirements

  • BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • 10+ years of relevant water/wastewater industry experience
  • 5+ years of project management experience
  • Ohio PE license

Qualifications

  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 10+ years of relevant water/wastewater industry experience, 5+ years of project management experience, Ohio PE license

Skills

  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians
  • Experience in wastewater infrastructure design and municipal conveyance and pumping systems
  • Ability to interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate technical assignments
  • Knowledge of multi-disciplinary engineering principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Pay

The range for this position is $120000 to $180000 per year.

Schedule

Work at this level usually requires extensive progressive experience. Works under minimal supervision. Supervision received is essentially administrative with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits. Manages group of engineers and/or technicians, coordinating activities of the unit.
