Wastewater Senior Project Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional services for wastewater engineering projects to include design, plans, specifications, reports, project budgets, scope of work, permits, contracts, schedules, estimates, and coordination of sub-consultants and contractors
  • Serve as a project engineer or task lead, coordinating multidisciplinary teams
  • Design and oversee systems including treatment processes, pumping, pipelines, and related infrastructure
  • Review and produce plans, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Partner with project managers on scope, schedule, and budget delivery
  • Mentor junior engineers and help elevate team performance
  • Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
    • Registration as a Professional Engineer ideal or ability to obtain within 3 months
    • 10 or more years of experience in municipal civil engineering with a strong interest in the wastewater market sector
    • Ability to travel as required for business development and project/client responsibilities
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook
    • Able to effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
    • Maintain stellar reputation for integrity, fairness, reliability, good judgment and aptitude among peers, management, and staff

    Physical Qualifications

    • Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain
    • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
    • Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist
    • Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight
    • May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds
    • Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
    • May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear
    • May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload
    • May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town
