Waste Water Technician

About the role
The Waste Water Technician will be responsible for wastewater treatment plant operations and environmental compliance. In this role, you will apply analytical analysis and mechanical aptitude to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and ensure that wastewater is processed efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Run wastewater treatment plant to ensure stable plant operations.
- Handle daily testing and analysis.
- Review and improve processes to manage administrative tasks.
- Enter environmental data into pre-existing systems.
- Promote the company's safety culture.
- Handle complex clerical, administrative, technical, or customer support issues under minimal supervision, escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate degree or higher in science, technology, chemistry, biology, engineering, or math.
- Computer skills (Word, Excel).
- Experience working in an industrial field.
- Minimum of four years of related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of industrial or two years of wastewater treatment experience.
- SAP knowledge.
- Support work processes development and improvement efforts.
- Ensure environmental regulatory requirements are met.
This position is based in Hammond, Indiana, and does not provide relocation assistance or visa sponsorship. Rotating 12-hour shift.
