About the role
The Maintenance Technician performs skilled maintenance and repair services of facility systems such as mechanical, electrical, and building systems. The primary emphasis is the performance of a variety of maintenance tasks requiring varying degrees of skill.
Responsibilities
- Performs preventive maintenance tasks on all equipment.
- Fabricates metal structures through cutting and welding.
- Repairs and maintains physical structures using hand tools and power tools.
- Observes safety precautions, rules, and regulations.
- Installs and repairs hydraulic equipment, valves, and cylinders.
- Inspects, tests, and repairs machinery, equipment, and facility.
- Installs and repairs electrical equipment, transformers, and wiring.
- Installs and repairs pneumatic equipment, valves, and cylinders.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma and/or Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a technical college in a related field.
- 3+ years of previous maintenance experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and Internet applications.
- Basic analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management, and planning skills.
- Basic verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, and reasoning).
- Basic understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers, colleagues, and clients.
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
- Mechanical aptitude; ability to use a variety of hand tools and basic knowledge of power tools, forklifts, welding equipment, and cutting torches.
- Ability to work overtime as necessary.
Physical Aspects / Work Environment
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk, hear, and see.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold and heat, risk of electrical shock, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
- The noise level in the work environment may be high.

Pay
The U.S. pay range for this position is $23 - $26 USD hourly, reflecting the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. Pay may vary based on location, experience, and other job-related factors.
