WASTE HANDLER (Summerville, Georgia, United States, 30747)

Responsibilities

• Keep waste buggies emptied
• Keep floor cleaned with broom or blower, and perform various housekeeping tasks
• Operate tipper machine and maintain area around tipper motor free from trash and debris
• Use care to avoid injury to self and others
• Perform miscellaneous duties as requested or required by supervisor and/or department head
• Follow all rules and regulations as described in company policies
• Must understand and follow all safety rules and regulations
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area always
• Must be able to perform other duties as requested by management

Job Tasks

• Operate & work from a Genie boom
• Operate a Lift Truck
• Clean grounds outside the building
• Be able to perform other duties as requested by management

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be willing and able to work night shift (12 hours)
• Must be able to follow all manufacturing safety rules and regulations
• Follow all rules and regulations as described in company policy including attendance policy
• Must be able to obtain a working understanding of operation for the sorting / grinding operation
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Have or ability to obtain Lift Truck Certification
• Work in dusty / dirty environment
• Good reading comprehension skills
• Expected to maintain all housekeeping items and follow all housekeeping procedures associated with the position
• Expected to follow all safety regulations associated with the position
• Responsible for other various job duties assigned by the supervisor
