Warranty Claim Assistant

About the role

The Warranty Claims assistant will perform various routine clerical duties regarding school bus vehicles in support of the service location. This includes processing warranty items and scheduling service appointments.

Responsibilities

• Answering phones, directing calls, and preparing messages
• Data entry, filing, and completion of simple forms
• Operating standard office machines providing customer service
• Scheduling service orders
• Submitting warranty claims for service orders and customers
• Processing payments and billing
• Providing status updates
• Communicating with service manager, technicians, and salesmen on units
• Locating parts and adding to service orders
• Communicating with parts departments regarding warranty issues

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Warranty experience

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Skills

• Knowledge of warranty and service orders (a plus)
