About the role
Operate assigned lift truck with great care and concern for food, personal, and environmental safety.
Responsibilities
- Ensure personal safety, food safety, and quality protocols are followed
- Operate industrial lift trucks and pallet jacks:
- Pre-operational inspection of lift trucks
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Supplying production with ingredients
- Returning unused ingredients from production back to inventory
- Tag incoming ingredients with CCC ingredient labels and move them to inventory
- Setting up orders for shipment
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse with accurate inventory cards
- Keep inventory stock rotated
- Keep work area clean and orderly in accordance with Current Good Manufacturing Practice and HACCP
- Practice first in, first out on all inventory
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end cycle counts
- Fill out all records accurately and completely according to established company protocols, including:
- Bill of ladings
- Order set-up sheets
- Trailer inspection sheets
- Discard logs
- Cycle counts
- Follow all safety procedures including lockout, personal protective equipment, food safety, and ergonomics
- Get help when lifting 100 pounds or more
- Ensure the product is placed in the hold area and secured if on hold
Requirements
- Must be able to work in hot and cold conditions and climb on and off lift truck throughout shift
- Reading, writing, math, and computer skills
- Complete knowledge of sifting, blending, processing, and dryer operations
- Ability to operate (or learn to operate) lift truck
- Be able to lift 50 pounds throughout shift
- Mechanically inclined
- Self-motivated and ability to work with little supervision
- Must be able to move 200-pound barrels regularly
