About the role

Operate assigned lift truck with great care and concern for food, personal, and environmental safety.

Responsibilities

• Ensure personal safety, food safety, and quality protocols are followed
• Operate industrial lift trucks and pallet jacks:
  • Pre-operational inspection of lift trucks
  • Loading and unloading trucks
  • Supplying production with ingredients
  • Returning unused ingredients from production back to inventory
  • Tag incoming ingredients with CCC ingredient labels and move them to inventory
  • Setting up orders for shipment
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse with accurate inventory cards
• Keep inventory stock rotated
• Keep work area clean and orderly in accordance with Current Good Manufacturing Practice and HACCP
• Practice first in, first out on all inventory
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end cycle counts
• Fill out all records accurately and completely according to established company protocols, including:
  • Bill of ladings
  • Order set-up sheets
  • Trailer inspection sheets
  • Discard logs
  • Cycle counts
• Follow all safety procedures including lockout, personal protective equipment, food safety, and ergonomics
• Get help when lifting 100 pounds or more
• Ensure the product is placed in the hold area and secured if on hold

Requirements

• Must be able to work in hot and cold conditions and climb on and off lift truck throughout shift
• Reading, writing, math, and computer skills
• Complete knowledge of sifting, blending, processing, and dryer operations
• Ability to operate (or learn to operate) lift truck
• Be able to lift 50 pounds throughout shift
• Mechanically inclined
• Self-motivated and ability to work with little supervision
• Must be able to move 200-pound barrels regularly
• Dependable and trustworthy
