About the role

Warehouse Technician responsible for receiving, shipping, storing, and tracking equipment and materials in Betacom warehouses. This position involves extensive driving for pickups and deliveries across Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, and Indiana. Requires safe operation of a 2500/3500 truck and experience pulling flatbed and box trailers up to 20' in length.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload equipment/materials during receiving and shipping.
  • Record materials and equipment entering and leaving the warehouse.
  • Confirm order accuracy.
  • Submit material order forms to Warehouse Manager to maintain pre-determined stock levels.
  • Submit warehouse supply order forms (e.g., paper towels, toiletries, soaps) to maintain supply stock.
  • Maintain cleanliness of warehouse, yard, parking lot, and surrounding areas.
  • Pick up equipment/materials from customer locations as required.
  • Ensure proper tagging and timely return of spares or bad customer components.
  • Pick up/deliver equipment/materials to other Betacom warehouse locations.
  • Manage yard dumpsters, ensuring timely unloading and return.
  • Prepare materials for field crews’ scheduled assignments.
  • Assist with product assembly as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of warehouse operations experience.
  • Clean driving record and valid driver’s license; reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Capable of operating a forklift and hand-operated pallet jack; must obtain forklift certification within 90 days of employment.
  • Ability to drive a box truck.
  • Class A or B CDL license (preferred).

Skills

  • Working knowledge of basic hand tools, mechanical equipment, and electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Great Plains (preferred).
  • Self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly.
  • Strong record-keeping skills and attention to detail.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand, use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear.
  • Frequent walking required; occasional sitting.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

  • Regularly works near moving mechanical parts, in high or precarious places, and in outside weather conditions.
  • Regular exposure to wet/humid conditions, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock or vibration.
  • Frequent exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and extreme cold.
  • Moderate noise level in the work environment.
