Warehouse Technician 2

SUMMARY

Receives, stores, and distributes material, products within establishments by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Pulling parts orders
• Receive return to stock from production
• Put (away) operating the supermarket function
• Fill bin locations for the supermarket
• Perform cycle counts, maintaining inventory accuracy upon pulling parts orders and supermarket parts
• Pulling parts orders and Supermarket parts
• Ability to operate electric devices, or a computer
• Must be able to be forklift certified
• Ability to maintain 5s and lean practices
• Ability to multi-task and be a Team player

EDUCATION and/or QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience: Must have Forklift experience 6+ months or more**
• Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months warehouse-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
• Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
• Must be able to read and understand English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
• The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; and vibration.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
