Warehouse Team Member

Do it Best Group is a member-owned hardware, lumber, and building materials cooperative serving independent home improvement retailers across the globe. This position is based at our Wilkes-Barre, PA facility, where two operations are strategically housed under one roof to drive efficiency and collaboration.

About the role

We’re currently adding to our growing team and seeking order fillers, shippers, receivers, forklift operators, and stockers. You’ll have the opportunity to develop and grow your skill sets in a variety of logistics and product fulfillment roles. We provide training and certification to safely operate powered equipment such as forklifts, tuggers, and powered pallet jacks.

Responsibilities

• Repeatedly lift items ranging from 40-45 lbs
• Occasionally lift up to 80-100 lbs
• Assist in team lifts
• Stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, carry, push, pull, stoop
• Perform work at floor level, waist level or above shoulder

NOTE: amount of time worked at each task varies, as needed.

Requirements

• 0-1 years of experience, preferably in Distribution, Warehouse, Supply Chain, or similar industry

Work Environment

• Generally works in a distribution warehouse environment and may be exposed to heat, cold, and may work indoors and/or outdoors
• May be exposed to chemicals that are routinely present in the Company’s warehouse facilities
• The work is typically active and physical in nature and requires normal accessibility to all work sites required of the position
• The position may require extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Wears personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, safety vests/Hi-Viz clothing, as required

Pay

• Earn up to $23.93/hr
• Wage dependent on experience, starting from $18.40 - $22.00 per hour
• Eligible team members have the opportunity to earn an additional $0.69 - $1.93 per hour with their quarterly performance bonus

Schedule

• Full-time, Monday through Friday
• 1st shift: 6:00am or 10:00am start time
• Regular weekday hours
