About the Role
Join the Genie team in Southaven, MS as a Team Lead for the AWP Outbound team. This pivotal role involves daily coordination of assigned areas, training and monitoring production processes, and ensuring a safe, efficient work environment. You will implement lean concepts, address production issues, and maintain high standards of quality and organization.
Responsibilities
- Enter and retrieve production information using computerized data entry systems.
- Train new team members on company philosophies, policies, and work routines.
- Study daily production schedules and estimate team member hours and materials/equipment needed.
- Recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance, and quality.
- Suggest changes in working conditions and equipment use to enhance workflow, efficiency, and safety.
- Maintain records of daily activities, including time, materials, and process steps.
- Use Excel, PowerPoint, and Word for data compilation, trend analysis, and KPI board displays.
- Assist in handling internal/external escalation requests.
- Use TMS software via PC and/or RF mobile equipment for inventory transfers and warehouse management.
- Perform general housekeeping duties, maintaining neat and organized storage locations, aisles, and workstations (5S standards).
- Operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) up to 15,000 lbs., including sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, stackers, electric pallet jacks, and work assist vehicles.
- Move materials safely and efficiently using manually powered carts and fixtures.
- Handle materials in a timely manner and work flexibly across all warehouse areas.
- Follow Standard Work Procedures and commit to safety, quality, inventory control, and Lean principles.
- Escalate key issues to supervisors/managers.
- Assist in resolving shipping & receiving complaints, freight damage, and implementing corrective actions.
- Research and resolve aged inbound/outbound lines in WIP that exceed dock-to-stock and OTS goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the position.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience with PIT equipment; current PIT license preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment.
Skills
- Good understanding of Lean principles and continuous improvement.
- Ability to drive positive change and engage in projects such as inventory moves, racking configuration, and work instruction revisions.

- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Sufficient human relations skills to conduct one-on-one training and maintain team harmony.

- Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot labor/material shortages and equipment issues.
- Ability to understand and follow detailed, repetitive instructions.
- Ability to perform arithmetic calculations and read measurements, counts, distances, and times.
- Ability to learn and understand safety, quality, and just-in-time principles.
- Ability to instruct others and lift, pull, push, or guide objects up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Ambulatory ability to walk, stand, reach, stoop, bend, and crawl continuously.
- Hand-arm-eye coordination for precise placement, alignment, and measurements.
- Visual acuity to observe moving objects and events.
- Auditory ability to project voice and hear instructions in a production environment.

Pay
The hourly salary range for this position is $25.37 to $30.89.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM (2nd shift).
