About the Role
The Warehouse Lead will oversee the storage, control, and distribution of materials and products according to company needs and customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Oversees all product and materials for inventory.
- Leads and coaches all material handlers.
- Provides support to production scheduling on all material flow issues to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
- Oversees procedures for receiving and storing raw materials.
- Works with Shipping and Receiving to receive raw materials.
- Leads and maintains the physical inventory of materials by leading & performing cycle counts.
- Leads efforts to standardize material part numbers and descriptions in IQMS.
- Reviews the dryer needs and requirements daily so completed jobs can be removed from the dryers, re-weighed and brought back into inventory.
- Must be able to work in a clean room environment, following all rules and regulations applicable to Apex Resource Technologies and its employees.
- Maintains communication between Material Handlers from other shifts.
- Establishes procedures and leads the annual physical inventory.
- Performs job duties in accordance with ISO 13485/9001 including ISO audits.
- Ensures that all safety procedures are followed.
- Ensures that all equipment safeties are not altered or defeated.
- Reports any safety issues to proper personnel or supervisors as soon as possible.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to work well with all levels of management and staff.
- Proficient with inventory reporting systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Experience in shipping and receiving.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. at constant intervals throughout the shift.
- Must have good vision.
- Must have manual dexterity.
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Repetitive motions are required.
- Must be able to move 1100 lb. gaylords with a pallet jack.
- Requires frequent bending, squatting, and twisting motions.
- Must be able to climb stepladders.
- Must be able to climb up and down stairs.
- Must be available for overtime as needed.
- Noise level is uncontrolled (Ear plugs are provided).
- Must be able to learn and use different types of fork trucks and material handling equipment.
- When required, must be flexible to fill in as press operator or secondary operator.
