Warehouse Team Lead

Responsibilities

• Assist in proper staffing for all areas by sending employees home when necessary due to lack of work.
• Work with the Training & Inventory Coordinator to organize all training for workers (both existing and new hires) within the warehouse area.
• Oversee the movement of material throughout the plant to assure inventory accuracy.
• Direct and coordinate warehouse staff to supply parts and items for the Production team.
• Work with your Manager on developing improvements to streamline warehouse inventory quantities and improve the warehouse layout for an efficient part-pulling system.
• Order and maintain all pallets and crates.
• Manage scrap reports, removal of inventory, and initiate the pickup of scrap.
• Perform miscellaneous duties in the absence of the Warehouse Supervisor.

Requirements

• Ability to use a forklift or hand truck.
• Can involve lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Interpersonal skills, team-working skills, and good communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years’ experience in a Warehouse pick/pull environment required.
• Associate degree preferred.
