About the role

The Warehouse Support Specialist analyzes warehouse movement data, demand and production data, and project life cycle forecasts to make appropriate changes to inventory profiles within the Magpul ERP system. This role serves as the final checkpoint in the production order closing process, ensuring inventory and cost accuracy, and promotes adherence to written work instructions and processes. The position emphasizes excellence in daily operations through accuracy, safety, efficiency, and a commitment to serving internal customers with professionalism under pressure.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for all production order-related closing processes and collaborate with accounting and functional areas to ensure inventory and cost accuracy.
Resolve discrepancies in the work order closing process, including D365 error correction, cycle counts, and multi-functional collaboration.
Provide ERP solutions for non-standard and one-off production orders (BOM Journals) with consideration for material and labor costs.
Review inbound, internal, and outbound movement data to optimize warehouse space ("slotting") through improved storage, picking efficiency, and workload balancing.
Update and maintain warehouse-specific item fields in the Magpul ERP system, including fixed locations, stocking limits, revisions, product dimensions, production work order sheets, and replenishment.
Update and maintain location setup, including zones, profiles, and sort codes to optimize put-away and picking operations.
Assist the Warehouse Solution Specialist with testing, data entry, and Magpul ERP warehouse updates for process enhancements.
Identify, recommend, and assist with implementing process enhancements related to Magpul ERP advanced warehouse functionality, including associate training.
Review on-hand inventory impacting website availability using Magpul ERP, Magpul.com, and the Magento User Portal.
Investigate location and transaction history to identify unavailable inventory, incomplete transactions, and potential work creation issues.
Manage inventory items throughout the product life-cycle, from new item setup to obsolescence.
Investigate and resolve location and item discrepancies within the Magpul ERP system.
Maintain and create ISO/QMS documentation as needed.
Work in any warehouse area and maintain a general understanding of all functional areas and their impact on inventory movement and production order accuracy.
Champion Magpul Lean Initiatives, including 5S, elimination of 8 Wastes, quality at the source, process control, and pull systems.
Perform physical tasks such as sitting/standing for extended periods, working at a computer, lifting up to 55 lbs., bending, pulling, pushing, and lifting for the duration of the shift.
Work overtime as required by department workload.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School degree required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in business or operations management preferred.
Experience with data analysis in a warehouse environment.
Experience in inventory control supporting manufacturing, warehouse, and distribution operations.

Skills

Strong attention to detail.
Ability to operate common warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jack, scale) and powered warehouse equipment (e.g., WAVE, order picker, reach truck).
Understanding of inventory control and reporting practices.
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
Ability to work autonomously while maintaining accountability in a team environment.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
Experience with Tier 2 ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics AX or D365 preferred.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects.

This position reports to the Sr. Warehouse Operations Manager. Must be eligible to work in the United States for any employer and authorized to receive Technical Data and/or Technology under U.S. export control laws. Any offer is contingent on passing a background check, including restricted party screening, and for Foreign Persons, obtaining necessary export licenses.
