Ryder is immediately hiring a Warehouse Associate in Alburtis, Pennsylvania.

Products Being Handled

  • Streaming devices
  • Internet cables
  • Wires
  • Reels

Equipment

  • Powered Industrial Equipment (e.g., Stand-up and Sit-Down Forklifts, High Reach, Pallet Jacks)
  • Ability to learn and operate equipment, including maintenance tasks such as changing batteries and recognizing common mechanical issues
  • May be required to operate manual and/or automated warehouse/manufacturing equipment (e.g., packaging line)

Responsibilities

  • Package, kit, and/or assemble orders and materials
  • Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers
  • Ensure all scanning is completed correctly
  • Help train dock employees on new procedures
  • Ensure facility is secure at end of shift; investigate and resolve scanning issues and housekeeping
  • Perform picking and packing duties
  • Check for evidence of product or container damage
  • Perform assigned tasks as described in location policies and procedures standards
  • Perform material moves with associated physical/logical transactions
  • Participate in workgroup and other team activities for self-improvement and improving warehouse operations
  • Perform housekeeping duties for assigned area
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Six months of related warehouse experience required
  • One (1) year or more of related warehouse experience preferred
  • Powered industrial truck certification required
  • Ability to read, do basic mathematics in English for safety, work instructions, policies, etc.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to input data into the WMS computer system(s) in use
  • Ability to work overtime as assigned
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized with excellent time management skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices

Pay

  • Hourly pay: $18.30 per hour
