Schedule: Monday-Friday 3pm-12am

Responsibilities

  • Directly oversees daily shift operations including selection, shipping, receiving, cross docking, interleaving, and trailer loading operations.
  • Reviews orders, shipping, or receiving notices to determine work sequences.
  • Confers with customers, supervisors, contractors, and other personnel to exchange information and resolve problems.
  • Supervises daily activity of warehouse and dispatch Team Members.
  • Assigns work and monitors productivity to ensure high standards of quality, accuracy, housekeeping, product damage minimization, safety, and overall efficiency.
  • Plans assignments and monitors activities to ensure proper paperwork flow, consolidation of product, and locating of missing product to enhance customer satisfaction by reducing irregularities.
  • Plans assignments, coordinates, and monitors operations within the warehouse and dispatch to ensure on-time deliveries, reducing irregularities and damage.
  • Promotes safety in work processes and Team Member performance by supporting company and/or facility safety programs, educating Team Members, and ensuring a generally safe work environment.
  • Enforces safety rules and regulations.
  • Communicates policies, safety regulations, and SOPs to warehouse and dispatch Team Members; follows up to ensure compliance and consistency; takes corrective action as necessary and documents the issue and actions taken.
  • Conducts start-up shift meetings.
  • Ensures that the facility is maintained clean and in an orderly fashion.
  • Ensures that product damage is kept to a minimum.
  • Works to maintain a high level of Team Member morale and recognition.
  • Responsible for the training, coaching, and feedback of warehouse and dispatch Team Members, and performs regular evaluations through factual data and subjective observations.
  • Coaches and counsels Team Members regarding job performance, methods of performing job tasks, and safety.
  • Resolves Team Member relations issues that arise during shift.
  • Investigates operational errors to determine the cause and recommend corrective action where needed.
  • In conjunction with the Operations Manager, carries out disciplinary actions as appropriate.
  • Creates, manages, and supports recognition and communication programs that foster an environment of teamwork for Team Members and peers.
  • Confers with management personnel to establish and maintain inventory accuracy and quality control standards.
  • Coordinates shift handoff activities to obtain optimum distribution and utilization of human resources, machines, equipment, and material.
  • Reviews and ensures accuracy of timesheet records and submits to Human Resources for timely processing.
  • Informs Warehouse Senior Management of all operating issues and problems and makes recommendations for corrective action to ensure quality warehouse operations and customer service.
  • Prepares, compiles, and submits reports on work activities, operations, and work-related accidents.
  • Drives vehicles or operates machines or equipment to complete work assignments or to assist workers.
  • Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned or needed.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED); Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • One to two years of previous work experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office to include Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Ability to master internal computer systems.
  • Valid State Driver’s License; Forklift Certification.
