D.W. Distribution, an SBP brand, is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for our Cat Spring, TX branch. This role involves overseeing the receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of materials while ensuring adherence to SBP safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Order Fulfillment: Distribute pick files to Warehouse Associates and monitor progress to ensure timely order processing. Ensure orders are properly wrapped and staged for loading.
  • Work Flow: Manage the flow of work orders and work product to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • CPUs: Ensure Customer Pick-up orders are printed and fulfilled.
  • Accuracy and Quality: Verify that all orders are pulled, assembled, and wrapped correctly. Resolve all tickets in Agility.
  • Assistance: Aid Warehouse Associates with their job responsibilities when necessary.
  • Loading: Print truck orders and oversee proper loading for delivery. Conduct final accuracy checks to ensure correct products, paperwork, and tagging.
  • Receiving: Oversee daily receiving processes, including unloading incoming freight, inventory receiving, documentation, data entry, and labeling.
  • RMAs: Collaborate with the Branch Manager to properly check-in and handle returned materials.
  • Maintenance: Oversee forklift maintenance and inspection paperwork. Address maintenance concerns with Branch Management and/or the company’s forklift service provider.
  • Safety: Ensure Warehouse Associates work safely, address safety violations, and report accidents immediately to Branch Management and Human Resources.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and yard, ensuring proper storage of products for efficiency and cleanliness.
  • Damaged Materials: Work with the Branch Manager to handle damaged materials appropriately.
  • Inventory: Perform cycle counts as assigned by Branch Management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Personable, articulate, and knowledgeable with the ability to work well with employees and management.
  • Ability to learn skills quickly with a mature, service-oriented attitude.
  • Process-oriented with the ability to take direction and analyze situations systematically.
  • Strong attention to detail and high motivation to complete tasks accurately and timely.
  • Adaptable and flexible to changing work practices, priorities, procedures, or conditions.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Forklift skills with appropriate certification.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • 4 years of related experience.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic math and analytical skills.
  • Flexible with scheduling.
  • Successfully complete any required training or orientation programs.

Physical Job Requirements

  • Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items, frequently lifting more than 50 lbs.
  • Moving around the warehouse to assist others or move merchandise.
  • Identifying and reading tickets, SKUs, UPC labels, and reports.
  • Gripping to operate machinery or hand tools.
  • Warehouse environment may have uneven walking surfaces due to temporary cracks from forklifts and heavy equipment.
  • Exposure to dusty and noisy conditions, temperature fluctuations, wet floors, sharp/rough edges, fumes from warehouse equipment and treated lumber, and electric voltage from some equipment.
