Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees and directs warehouse operations in retail stores. They also manage warehouse specialists, order pickers, and forklift operators, and support the Receiving Supervisor in managing daily freight schedules.

Responsibilities

• Directs and oversees warehouse activities such as shipping, receiving, maintenance, inventory control, etc.
• Maintains warehouse equipment and ensures it is safe and efficient for employees.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA regulations and maintains a safe, clean workplace.
• Trains and supervises warehouse personnel, ensuring they follow standard operating procedures.
• Handles employee inquiries, resolves issues, and coordinates with other departments.
• Completes activity reports and monitors inventory flow.
• Executes Storage Buy Audit COP, ensuring proper product staging and storage.
• Manages warehouse safety programs and implements the progressive disciplinary process.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, team-building, delegating, and follow-up skills.
• Effective communication skills (oral and written).
• Strong computer skills, proficiency in Windows-based systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines.
• Available to work extended hours during peak seasons.
