Provide leadership, support, and guidance for the warehouse staff. Daily tasks include managing labor, monitoring team progress and metrics, developing staff, and managing workload.
Responsibilities
- Manage the labor for the day, moving staff to areas of need as business needs change.
- Ensure timely communication for pick-up of empty containers.
- Work cross-departmentally with other supervisors and managers to ensure smooth process flow.
- Utilize metrics to manage operations and reduce costs.
- Identify process gaps to gain efficiencies and increase accuracy.
- Support management in setting shift expectations.
- Develop leads and hourly associates to further their careers.
- Audit inbound containers and receipts to ensure staff adherence to processes.
- Ensure daily orders are prioritized and completed by deadlines.
- Monitor production to ensure staff has work throughout their entire shift.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3-5 years of warehouse experience.
- 0-3 years of leadership experience.
- Forklift Certification required; must maintain current certification on standup high-reach, sit-down forklift, and transporters.
- Able to multitask, organize, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced, and time-sensitive environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of compliance and safety.
- Fluent reading and writing skills.
- Ability to understand business metrics and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Quality conscious.
- Ability to operate motor vehicles or other large power equipment.
- Knowledge of vendor regulations and warehouse best practices.
- Leadership skills; ability to mentor, coach, and motivate team members.

Nice to Have
- Working knowledge of WHS (Hi-Jump is a plus).
Working Conditions
Environment: Warehouse with exposure to varying temperatures, extreme heat or cold, and damp or drafty conditions.
Schedule: Variable, including nights and weekends; occasional overtime may be required.
Physical Requirements:
- Heavy lifting: regularly lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs and occasionally move objects over 100 lbs with a pallet jack.
- Regularly required to reach with hands and arms.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; must be on feet for the majority of the shift.
- Frequently grasps, turns, and manipulates objects of varying size and weight requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
- Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance.
- Vision requirements: ability to perceive things closely, from a distance, peripherally, and in depth; ability to adjust focus for reading and verifying information.
Travel Required: Limited; travel between multiple worksites based on volume and business needs.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $70,304.00 - $80,400.00 per year. Base compensation may vary based on experience, role tenure, performance, industry, and location. Eligibility for an annual performance incentive may apply.
