Supervise Receiving, Storing, Packing, Shipping and Inventory Control

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations including receiving, storing, packing, shipping, and inventory control. They must ensure that all activities comply with warehouse policies and procedures.

Movement of Material for Job Staging and Department Use

This includes managing the movement of materials to departments for job staging and general departmental use. The Supervisor must provide clear direction and assignments to a team of warehouse employees.

Training and Performance Management

  • Train new and existing warehouse staff members.
  • Manage performance through coaching, mentoring, and motivation of warehouse staff.

Process Improvement and Equipment Maintenance

  • Work with management to plan and implement ideas on how to increase warehouse efficiency.
  • Take a proactive approach in recommending process improvement ideas.
  • Maintain operational reliability of warehouse equipment and safeguard company assets.

Workplace Organization and Safety

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Ensure the organization and structure within the warehouse.

Complex Operational Issues

Analyze and resolve complex warehouse operational and inventory issues as they arise.

Other Functions and Responsibilities

Perform related job duties as needed and assigned. This may include additional tasks such as on-call availability for second or third shifts, or covering for other staff members.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED is required, with an associate's degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, or operations is required.
  • Experience operating a forklift and other similar warehouse equipment is necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word) is essential.
  • Strong initiative, leadership, communication, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills are required.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is important.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are necessary.
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime and on-call availability is expected.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

  • An associate's degree is preferred.
  • Physical strength to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Pay and Benefits

  • The pay range for this position is $72,989-$80,455, with eligibility for an annual bonus.
