About the role

A leading industrial manufacturer is seeking a Warehouse Receiving Supervisor to oversee receiving operations within a large-scale industrial production environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring inbound materials are received accurately, processed efficiently, and maintained in compliance with inventory, safety, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily receiving operations and supervise warehouse personnel to ensure safe and efficient material flow.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through timely ERP transactions and adherence to receiving procedures.
  • Verify inbound shipments against purchase orders, bills of lading, and physical materials.
  • Ensure all materials are properly labeled and documented upon receipt.
  • Drive compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
  • Support cycle counts, inventory audits, variance investigations, and stock adjustments.
  • Track and resolve receiving discrepancies in collaboration with procurement and accounting teams.
  • Monitor delivery schedules and coordinate warehouse resources to optimize throughput.
  • Manage damaged materials, environmental incidents, and corrective actions when necessary.
  • Conduct routine warehouse inspections, housekeeping audits, and safety walkthroughs.
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for receiving and warehouse best practices.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, urgency, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and warehouse leadership experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience within warehouse, logistics, or distribution operations.
  • Strong experience with ERP/MRP systems; SAP experience is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record leading hourly teams, managing schedules, and driving operational performance.
  • Experience within manufacturing, mining, chemical processing, refining, construction, or other industrial environments is highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazardous material handling, SDS requirements, and warehouse safety practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Forklift experience and certifications are a plus.

Compensation & Benefits
