About the role
A leading industrial manufacturer is seeking a Warehouse Receiving Supervisor to oversee receiving operations within a large-scale industrial production environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring inbound materials are received accurately, processed efficiently, and maintained in compliance with inventory, safety, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily receiving operations and supervise warehouse personnel to ensure safe and efficient material flow.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through timely ERP transactions and adherence to receiving procedures.
- Verify inbound shipments against purchase orders, bills of lading, and physical materials.
- Ensure all materials are properly labeled and documented upon receipt.
- Drive compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
- Support cycle counts, inventory audits, variance investigations, and stock adjustments.
- Track and resolve receiving discrepancies in collaboration with procurement and accounting teams.
- Monitor delivery schedules and coordinate warehouse resources to optimize throughput.
- Manage damaged materials, environmental incidents, and corrective actions when necessary.
- Conduct routine warehouse inspections, housekeeping audits, and safety walkthroughs.
- Serve as the primary subject matter expert for receiving and warehouse best practices.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, urgency, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and warehouse leadership experience will be considered.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience within warehouse, logistics, or distribution operations.
- Strong experience with ERP/MRP systems; SAP experience is highly preferred.
- Proven track record leading hourly teams, managing schedules, and driving operational performance.
- Experience within manufacturing, mining, chemical processing, refining, construction, or other industrial environments is highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazardous material handling, SDS requirements, and warehouse safety practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Forklift experience and certifications are a plus.
