About the role
The Warehouse Supervisor oversees all warehouse team members and activities, including packing, shipping and receiving of finished goods and raw materials.
Responsibilities
- Lead warehouse team.
- Lead and oversee warehouse, packing, shipping, and receiving functions.
- Effectively manage orders, adhering to quality and safety standards.
- Ensure accuracy of shipments and all supporting documentation.
- Receive and route incoming materials.
- Ensure inventory transactions are correctly logged; perform cycle counts and reconciliation.
- Train new team members: ensure team members are following business practices.
- Address any concerns with team members; collaborate with distribution center leadership and HR.
- Aprove time and attendance; obtain overtime authorizations.
- Attend daily meetings to communicate and establish priorities.
- Plan and schedule tasks; provide leadership and motivation.
- Sure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
- Build effective relations with others shifts to ensure success of all of operations.
- Research errors, determine root cause, ensure associates are re-trained, and document conversations with associates.
- Available to work required hours to ensure shift preparedness and maximize time with team during hours of operation.
Qualifications
- Degree in Logistics, Business or relevant discipline preferred.
- Distribution center experience highly preferred.
- 3-5 years leadership experience required, fast paced, high volume warehouse/distribution center setting preferred.
- Experience managing a team of 10+ associates.
- Ability to read, understand and complete controlled documents.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership: positive attitude with ability to motivate a team.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient with PC & MS. (Teams, Outlook, Excel).
- Forklift experience required/will have to train.
- Ability to come in on short notice/work weekends.
