Warehouse Superintendent

About the role

The Warehouse Supervisor is a hands-on position responsible for leading the warehouse operation. Key responsibilities include shift scheduling, maintaining employee motivation, resolving shipping errors, and ensuring compliance with safety and GMP regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide all aspects of leadership for warehouse personnel, including shift scheduling, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary action.
• Operate with operational responsibilities such as inventory management, warehouse housekeeping, and research/resolve shipping errors.
• Lead the team in promoting the company's safety program, identifying and eliminating risks, and driving safe working habits.
• Avoid accidents and investigate incidents as needed, ensuring full compliance with OSHA regulations and GMPs.
• Collaborate with production, customer service, and distribution to meet external customer order fulfillment requirements.
• Maintain customer satisfaction levels, ensuring quality, accuracy, and on-time delivery of loads.
• Communicate effectively with managers, shift leads, and employees to ensure efficient and error-free warehouse operations.
• Assist with training and integrating new employees, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and performing all other related duties.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferably with a college degree.
• 2-5 years’ experience in a leadership role within a warehouse department or related field.
• Preferred ERP (SAP) experience and knowledge of just-in-time manufacturing.
• Basic computer skills and math proficiency.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and positively coach and motivate others.
• Strong working knowledge of the warehouse operation and ability to follow direction and organize work.

Qualifications

• Ability to move quickly, stand for long periods, sit at a desk, walk, bend, twist, stretch, lift heavy objects (50+ lbs), and carry heavy objects (40-60 lbs).
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and OSHA regulations.
• Basic computer skills and math proficiency.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Positive attitude and ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
