About the role
The Warehouse Specialist at Tessera is responsible for performing a variety of warehousing duties, including loading and unloading trucks, verifying material against receiving documents, storing and retrieving materials, and operating heavy equipment.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload flatbed trucks with the use of a forklift.
- Verify material or merchandise against receiving documents.
- Examine stored materials, note and report discrepancies, deterioration, and obvious damage.
- Route materials to prescribed storage locations.
- Store, stack, or palletize materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
- Rearrange and take inventory of stored materials.
- Remove material from storage and prepare it for shipment/issue.
- Palletize heavy and bulk material.
- Sort, count, and weigh material.
- Store, inspect, and issue material.
- Put stock away in bins.
- Count stock levels.
- Pull and process orders and shipments.
- Visual inspection of material.
- Operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
- Secure material to pallets with banding or plastic wrap.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED.
- One (1) year of facilities maintenance or warehouse experience preferred.
- Forklift experience and certificate required.
- Must be able to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers.
- Must be able to reach, kneel, walk, stand, use repetitive motion.
- Must be able to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
- A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
- Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military ID, in accordance with the REAL ID Act.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
