Job Summary

Perform a range of tasks including receiving and processing stock, preparing orders, packing and shipping, and managing warehouse operations.

Essential Functions

  • Assist with unloading trucks
  • Prepare and complete orders according to schedule
  • Receive and process warehouse stock
  • Sort, label, and organize materials according to standards
  • Open bales, crates, and containers
  • Maintain inventory controls by collecting and recording amounts
  • Perform inventory controls and ensure quality standards
  • Report discrepancies
  • Communicate and collaborate with supervisors and coworkers
  • Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment
  • Keep work areas clean and organized
  • Wear proper safety equipment

Minimum Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-2 years of warehouse experience preferred
  • Good communication, organizational, time management, and mathematical skills
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Inventory, equipment maintenance, data entry, and computer skills may be required
  • Proficiency in inventory software, databases, and systems
  • Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
  • Current forklift license and experience with both sit-down and stand-up units

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

Frequent exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. Occasional exposure to extreme conditions in the warehouse. Safety glasses must be worn at all times.

Physical Demands

  • Maintain regular, punctual attendance
  • Lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
  • Reach with hands and arms in a repetitive motion
  • Stand for 2-3 hours at a time
  • Use hands to finger, handle, feel, reach, talk, and hear
  • Frequently lift and/or move objects weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, twist, sit, and/or walk
  • Sometimes stretch, twist, sit, and/or walk
  • Must have good hand/eye coordination
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position, generally working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Weekend and overtime hours may be required.

Travel

No travel is expected for this position.
