Job Purpose
The Warehouse Specialist supports the day-to-day operation of warehouse facilities, maintenance operations, safety compliance, and the ability to load/offload containers with a forklift. This role partners closely with the Warehouse Manager to ensure the facility operates safely, efficiently, and reliably while supporting business objectives.
Essential Functions
- Facilities & Maintenance Management
- Affiliate in the oversight of warehouse building systems, infrastructure, and material handling equipment.
- Support outside tool and maintenance RMA tickets through authorized repair centers.
- Monitor facility work orders and ensure timely completion of maintenance activities through ServiceNow.
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance activities with internal teams and external service providers, such as: Fideltione, Fleet Services, Field Operations and additional departmental stakeholders.
- Conduct routine facility inspections to identify maintenance needs and improvement opportunities.
- Support emergency response efforts related to inventory, facility and equipment failures.
- Affiliate in maintaining the CPE test lab, 3D Print Farm and other initiatives as assigned.
- Safety & Compliance
- Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and corrective action activities.
- Support environmental, health, and safety initiatives and reporting.
- Affiliate in incident investigations and implementation of corrective actions.
Education
- Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Relevant Work Experience: 3--5 years of experience in facilities management, maintenance supervision, warehouse operations, or a related environment
- Telcom Facilities Management, Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field
- Experience managing contractors, vendors, and facility maintenance programs.
- Experience in a Telecom warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment preferred
Special Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Valid driver's license required
- Strong knowledge of internal systems, maintenance practices, and building operations.
- Understanding of OSHA requirements and workplace safety standards.
- Experience with Oracle requisitioning and a working knowledge of Oracle Fusion.
- Strong understanding of materials and tools utilized by premise technicians, business technicians, outside plant and specialty teams
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Smartsheet's
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and respond effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to walk warehouse facilities and corresponding contractor inventory sites for extended periods, in all climates and non-ideal terrain
- Ability to climb ladders
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions
