Warehouse - Shipper/Receiver

About the Role

TekniPlex Healthcare is hiring a Warehouse Shipper/Receiver for our Manchester, NH facility. This role is responsible for maintaining all areas of the warehouse, involving constant communication with the shipping clerk and purchasing department.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading deliveries as needed.
• Accepting deliveries and logging them into inventory.
• Inspecting for damaged packaging and verifying product accuracy.
• Reporting errors and/or damages to the relevant department.
• Organizing, retrieving, and storing stock (raw material, finished product, and consumables) in an accessible manner.
• Pulling boxes as needed by the shipping clerk and preparing outgoing pallets for delivery.
• Maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment, including minimum stock levels of raw materials and consumables.
• Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
• Using computer skills for email, Excel, Word, Access, and web-based applications.
• Loading and unloading raw materials into dryers daily.
• Assisting with various other projects as needed.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent GED certification, with 18 months of related work experience preferred.
• 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including design, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills required; proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook preferred.
• Self-directed with good communication and interpersonal skills, using tact and diplomacy.

Skills

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and complete time cards and work orders legibly.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, blueprints, and technical drawings (machine, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical).
• Effective presentation skills in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, rate, ratio, percent, basic algebra, geometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
• Problem-solving ability in situations with limited standardization.
• Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear.
• Frequently required to use hands for handling and reaching.
• Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Regularly lift/move up to 10 pounds; frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

• Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration.
• Occasional exposure to high places, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, outside weather, and extreme heat.
• Moderate noise level.
