About the role

The Warehouse & Receiving Lead is responsible for coordinating and executing warehouse, receiving, inventory control, and material handling activities. This role ensures the accurate receipt, storage, transaction, and distribution of materials while maintaining inventory integrity and an organized warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, monitor, and report Warehouse & Receiving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure departmental objectives, inventory accuracy, and operational requirements are achieved.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance safety, quality, accuracy, efficiency, and customer service.
  • Load and unload equipment off trucks.
  • Inspect, accept, and reject inbound shipments.
  • Communicates and coordinates with appropriate buyers for product returns/repairs.
  • Coordinate project pack out activities for both domestic and international shipments with project teams.
  • Cycle Counts per schedule and process.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Supervise the daily activities of the Warehouse and Receiving team.
  • Carry out Key User activities and troubleshooting for SAP and mobisys improvements and issues.
  • Ensure warehouse is kept clean and organized.
  • Ensure inventory transactions are completed accurately and timely in SAP.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and inventory accuracy issues.
  • Maintain warehouse organization, material identification, and storage location accuracy.
  • Cross-train warehouse and receiving personnel.
  • Support physical inventory activities and inventory reconciliation efforts.
  • Cross-train warehouse and receiving personnel.
  • Coordinate material staging and replenishment activities to support production, project, and service requirements.
  • Inventory inquiry support.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP, including inventory transactions, receiving processes, and inventory management functions.
  • Ability to use a pallet jack.
  • Certified to operate a forklift truck.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build productive working relationships across all levels of the organization and with external partners.
  • Working knowledge in MS Word, Excel, or similar computer software systems.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with a demonstrated willingness to learn, adapt, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance customer service, responsiveness, and operational priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, receiving, inventory control, material management, or supply chain-related roles.
