The Warehouse Associate – Shipping plays a key role in supporting warehouse operations by preparing, staging, and loading outgoing shipments with accuracy and care. This position ensures timely fulfillment of customer orders and helps maintain a clean, safe, and efficient shipping environment. The ideal candidate thrives in a “team first” environment and has a passion for customer service.
Responsibilities
- Shipping Operations
- Pick, pack, and stage orders for delivery or customer pickup
- Load delivery trucks safely and accurately according to route and order requirements
- Verify outgoing shipments against packing slips and sales orders
- Ensure proper labeling, handling, and secure loading of all outgoing inventory
- Assist with maintaining accurate shipping documentation and paperwork
- Team Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with warehouse leads, drivers, and counter sales staff
- Report shortages, damages, or shipping delays to the appropriate supervisor
- Work cooperatively with team members to meet daily shipping goals
- Follow direction from warehouse leadership to maintain steady and accurate workflow
- General Warehouse Support
- Keep staging and loading areas clean, organized, and free of hazards
- Assist in other warehouse areas as needed, including stocking or receiving
- Follow all company safety procedures and use equipment responsibly
Requirements
- Required:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a warehouse or physical labor role
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer and scanning tool proficiency
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work at a consistent pace
- Preferred:
- Experience in plumbing, irrigation, or wholesale distribution environments
- Familiarity with shipping software or ERP systems
- Experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material-handling equipment
- Ability to multitask and adapt during high-volume periods
- Dependable, team-oriented work style
