The Warehouse Associate – Shipping plays a key role in supporting warehouse operations by preparing, staging, and loading outgoing shipments with accuracy and care. This position ensures timely fulfillment of customer orders and helps maintain a clean, safe, and efficient shipping environment. The ideal candidate thrives in a “team first” environment and has a passion for customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Shipping Operations
    • Pick, pack, and stage orders for delivery or customer pickup
    • Load delivery trucks safely and accurately according to route and order requirements
    • Verify outgoing shipments against packing slips and sales orders
    • Ensure proper labeling, handling, and secure loading of all outgoing inventory
    • Assist with maintaining accurate shipping documentation and paperwork
  • Team Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with warehouse leads, drivers, and counter sales staff
    • Report shortages, damages, or shipping delays to the appropriate supervisor
    • Work cooperatively with team members to meet daily shipping goals
    • Follow direction from warehouse leadership to maintain steady and accurate workflow
  • General Warehouse Support
    • Keep staging and loading areas clean, organized, and free of hazards
    • Assist in other warehouse areas as needed, including stocking or receiving
    • Follow all company safety procedures and use equipment responsibly

Requirements

  • Required:
    • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in a warehouse or physical labor role
    • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds
    • Basic computer and scanning tool proficiency
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to work at a consistent pace
  • Preferred:
    • Experience in plumbing, irrigation, or wholesale distribution environments
    • Familiarity with shipping software or ERP systems
    • Experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material-handling equipment
    • Ability to multitask and adapt during high-volume periods
    • Dependable, team-oriented work style
