About the role
This position is responsible for coordinating material through the warehouse area, including but not limited to, material movement, and relocating materials. This position processes necessary documentation for all finished goods.
Responsibilities
- Safely operates equipment and follows safety policies and procedures
- Ensures quality standards are met and follows quality policies and procedures
- Facilitates the flow of raw materials from warehouse to production departments
- Transports completed finished goods to shipping locations
- Organizes and locates raw materials in warehouse locations using Warehouse Management System functions (WMS)
- Wraps and loads trailers for distribution to various locations
- Coordinates scrap and recycling programs, scheduling pickups and maintaining accurate documentation
- Coordinates service vehicles, ensuring maintenance, fueling, and cleaning
- Organizes and maintains cleanliness of the dock yard area, removing debris
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Effective communication, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Attention to detail, multitasking, and handling multiple priorities without undue stress or errors
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
Physical Requirements
- Standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and feeling
- Eye/hand/foot coordination
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Warehouse experience preferred
- Powered Industrial Truck experience preferred
