Position Summary
Oversee and supervise a work group to meet department goals. Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm. Hourly Wage: $25-27 an hour depending on experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Provides leadership to assigned personnel through effective goal setting, performance reviews, delegation, and communication.
- Provides measurable feedback, suggestions for improved performance and recognition for achievements.
- Counsels and trains new employees as needed.
- Supports the safety programs to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintains a safe working environment for all associates.
- Aids in process improvement initiatives.
- Conducts regular meetings to ensure that personnel are well informed of policies and procedures.
- Continually enforces productivity standards.
- Ensures excellent customer service and communication.
- Receives: Check in product completely and accurately; Stock products correctly.
- Loads: Pick product for daily deliveries along with special deliveries; Load trucks using good judgment regarding use of space and product safety.
- Returns: Inspect and physically count returned merchandise; Restock inventory in appropriate place.
- Operates power equipment, including fork-lift; May work as a backup driver as assigned or directed.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk, hear, taste and/or smell; the employee must occasionally lift products weighing up to approximately 80 pounds. Handling of tires (e.g., rolling, destacking, team lifting) greater than approximately 70 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Protective equipment required: steel or composite toe boots, safety vest, harness, seatbelt, SRL (self-retracting lifeline).
Qualifications
- 3 years of related experience.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn computer systems.
- Willingness to work overtime or flexible hours on short notice.
- Good memory and scanning abilities.
- Good communication and math skills.
- Able to lift up to 65 lbs. with the proper equipment and climb 20 feet on a regular basis.
- Able to learn to use a forklift.
- May require valid drivers license and conformance with company driver policy.
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test (do not test for THC / marijuana).
