About the role
The Operations Manager will be part of the Leadership team, working as an onsite employee. They will be responsible for daily management and leadership of all resources assigned, including scheduling, productivity, personnel development, time and attendance, training, and establishing and monitoring departmental goals.
Responsibilities
- Schedule adherence, productivity, personnel development, time and attendance, training and establishing/monitoring departmental goals.
- Create a departmental cross training matrix and mentor assigned personnel.
- Deploy team members to both strategically and tactically engage in cross-functional problem solving to improve production efficiency and product quality.
- Ensure the organization achieves Safety, Quality, Schedule, and Cost performance objectives.
- Develop and drive cost savings utilizing continuous improvement & lean methodologies.
- Apply through areas assigned by learning, applying, and teaching.
- Ensure team member compliance with all operations procedures and documented processes and address non-conformities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, manufacturing, business or related field required.
- 5+ years direct experience in operations manufacturing environment.
- 5+ years Leadership and management experience.
- Financial acumen, including managing budgets, overtime, incentives, and benefits.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple teams and oversee multiple processes.
- Experience with vendor management, compliance and audit processes.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities for working with multiple departments, various organizational levels, and external parties.
- Strong computer knowledge and abilities (JDE, SAP, Microsoft Office).
Qualifications
- Required: B.S. Degree Engineering, manufacturing, business or related field required.
