Warehouse Operations Supervisor

About the role

Boise Cascade Company, a leading producer of engineered wood products and plywood in North America and a top U.S. wholesale distributor of building materials, is seeking a Warehouse Operations Supervisor. This role serves as the on-site supervisor and assistant to the operations manager for the yard, warehouse, and safety functions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise warehouse functions, including receipt of products from external and internal suppliers, pulling and loading products for shipment.
• Train, guide, coach, and counsel materials-handling associates.
• Maintain day-to-day safety awareness and enforce Division Safety and PPE policies, ensuring operations align with established standard operating procedures.
• Act as a troubleshooter for daily activities within the yard.
• Perform duties under seasonal environmental conditions, with some physical exertion required.

Requirements

• Two-year technical education, college degree, or high school diploma with a minimum of three years of operations experience.
• Prior supervisory experience.
• Proficiency in leadership, organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Competency in using computer software applications necessary for job responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of building materials is a plus.
