Job Description
Carefully coordinate all work activities related to processing freight flow (both inbound and outbound).
Accurately receive goods and verify the quantity, quality, and condition of the freight.
- Pick, inspect, and load pallets for outgoing shipments.
- Have good knowledge of handling various internal means of transport.
- Load and unload trucks using a forklift and/or electric pump trucks.
- Create and ensure the completion of OSD reports.
- Check cargo manifests and assign them to the appropriate Warehouse Agent Senior or Lead.
- Perform double checks on the freight, ULDs, references, and AWB numbers.
- Conduct Dangerous Goods and/or Lithium checks if equipped with an IATA DG Certificate.
- Handle different types of container contouring, including building and breaking down ULDs.
- Adhere strictly to security and compliance rules set by Expeditors.
- Maintain a safe work environment at all times.
- Achieve and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPI) standards as outlined in the company’s procedures.
- Keep the work area, transport systems, storage areas, and work places clean.
- Comply with all internal and external regulations at all times.
- Report problems to management when necessary.
- Perform other tasks as directed by management.
Physical Demands
- Use of standard office equipment - computer with keyboard and mouse, phone, fax/copy/scan machine, etc.
- Write with pencil/pen/marker.
- Primary function involves standing and working on a Forklift Truck for extended periods.
Qualifications
- A High School Degree or equivalent is required.
- A background check must be passed.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Good computer skills (Word, Excel, and familiarity with PowerPoint) are essential.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.
- No future sponsorship for employment visas is allowed.
- The ability to work overtime may be required.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is necessary.
- Proactive thinking and action are encouraged.
- Strong organizational skills are required.
- An analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail is beneficial.
