About the role

The Warehouse Operations Lead oversees the day-to-day operations of the forklift department within our 500,000 square foot, newly renovated warehouse in Marion, South Carolina. This role is critical for driving operational efficiency, maintaining a strong safety culture, and leading a high-performing team in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise daily operations of the forklift department, ensuring productivity and efficiency targets are met
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
  • Optimize warehouse processes to improve workflow, accuracy, and overall operational performance
  • Train, coach, and support team members to enhance skills, performance, and engagement
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges to minimize disruptions and maintain continuity
  • Partner cross-functionally with teams such as Procurement and Logistics to support timely order fulfillment
  • Implement and uphold warehouse best practices to improve quality, reduce waste, and enhance safety standards
  • Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics related to forklift operations, identifying areas for improvement
  • Ensure proper use, care, and maintenance of warehouse equipment and machinery

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in warehouse operations, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control processes
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage a team, provide clear direction, and motivate employees
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with WMS software is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree or relevant certifications preferred
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and work in physically demanding conditions
  • Forklift certification preferred
