Main Function
Lead day-to-day execution of operational workflows by coordinating people, priorities, and process. This role is the “pace-setter” on the floor—ensuring safe, accurate, and timely throughput across inbound, outbound, inventory, and/or production activities while reinforcing standards and coaching the team.
Qualifications
- Prior experience leading or acting as a lead in an operations environment (warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or similar).
- Demonstrated ability to coach, train, and hold a team accountable to standards and daily goals.
- Comfort working with operational metrics (accuracy, throughput, on-time shipment, productivity, inventory integrity).
- Strong communication and coordination skills across shift handoffs and cross-functional partners.
- Proficiency with basic systems/tools (ERP/WMS or inventory/shipping systems; Outlook; Excel).
Nice-to-Have (Trainable / Preferred)
- Experience with Lean / continuous improvement (5S, standard work, root cause).
- Cycle count and inventory reconciliation experience.
- Forklift / material handling certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience supporting E-commerce fulfillment, returns/RMA processing, or multi-channel distribution.
- Familiarity with safety practices and incident reporting in an operational setting.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Primarily on-site, operational/floor-based role; may require standing/walking for extended periods. May require occasional overtime, peak season flexibility, or schedule adjustments based on business needs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Daily Leadership & Execution:
- Lead daily shift start-up: priorities, staffing alignment, safety reminders, and target outputs.
- Assign work, monitor progress, and rebalance labor throughout the day to hit service goals.
- Act as first-line escalation for workflow blockers (missing inventory, system issues, exceptions).
- Ensure clean shift handoffs: status, backlog, issues, and next steps.
- Quality, Accuracy & Inventory Integrity:
- Reinforce standard work to reduce errors in picking/packing/shipping, staging, or production steps.
- Support inventory accuracy via cycle counts, bin audits, discrepancy investigations, and reconciliation follow-through.
- Monitor and address error trends; coach individuals and adjust processes where needed.
- People Leadership & Coaching:
- Train new hires and cross-train current team members on key processes.
- Provide in-the-moment coaching, feedback, and recognition; escalate performance concerns as appropriate.
- Promote a respectful, consistent, and compliant work environment.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Enforce safety practices and housekeeping/5S standards.
- Report incidents/near-misses and support corrective actions.
- Ensure proper handling of materials, equipment, and documentation per policy.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify operational friction points; recommend improvements to layout, tools, SOPs, and scheduling.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives (standard work updates, KPI cadence, training refreshers).
- Support implementation of new tools/processes and drive adoption on the floor.
Compensation
The base pay range for this position is $26.00 to $28.50; the exact rate depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget.
