Warehouse Office Clerk

Warehouse Material Handler position in Orlando, Florida. Pay is $20.50 per hour plus a $1.50 per hour shift premium, paid weekly.

About the role

Various warehouse fulfillment specialist roles at Ryder support distribution across the US. Work in the safest supply chain environment with state-of-the-art equipment handling consumer packaged goods. Equipment used includes stand-up forklifts, electric pallet jacks, high-reach forklifts, and cherry pickers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates activities with clerks from other floor areas, the customer, and/or other suppliers as needed.
• Updates area or shift metrics using the location's WMS system.
• Generates daily, weekly, or monthly reports, memos, and summaries, often of a technical and/or confidential nature.
• Performs floor work and additional duties as assigned.
• Performs basic administrative tasks for area or shift, including maintaining filing systems and documents.
• Gathers and provides information to floor employees in the supported area.
• Coordinates activities, meetings, and communication for the specific area or shift.
• Performs other duties as assigned, depending on the area supported or location-specific requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year or more of clerical or warehouse experience preferred.
• One (1) year or more of experience operating forklift equipment preferred.
• One (1) year or more of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates customer service skills.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
