About the role
Graphic Packaging International is a foodservice cup forming manufacturing operation seeking a Receiving Clerk/Load Planner to join our Clarksville, TN team. This role performs clerical duties in a warehouse setting, responsible for receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, ensuring accuracy and completeness of shipments, and maintaining inventory records. The ideal candidate will align business operations with GPI’s objectives while meeting customer expectations.
Responsibilities
- Work within and adhere to GPI’s core values of Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships, and Teamwork
- Adhere to plant and corporate safety policies; actively engage in safety programs
- Ensure production and distribution meet food safety, sanitation, and quality standards
- Maintain 5S standards in assigned area (clean and orderly workspaces)
- Prepare, file, and maintain all bills of lading
- Compile data on receiving and shipping activity
- Receive all raw materials into QAD and SAP systems
- Maintain daily inventory movement in QAD
- Enter data into Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access
- Record and maintain data on quantity, description, and damage for shipped/received items
- Process delivery orders, UPS, and Federal Express shipments
- Ensure inventory reports are processed and maintained
- Schedule dock appointments for incoming/outgoing materials
- Work with Cycle Counters to correct inventory discrepancies
- Distribute reports to the Leadership Team and production departments
- Communicate shift issues effectively to oncoming shifts
- Fulfill overtime requirements as necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned to support changing business needs
Requirements
- 18 years or older
- One year of warehousing experience
- Previous warehouse clerking experience
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite, spreadsheets, charts, technical manuals)
- Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and/or warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, units of measure)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to perform essential physical functions of the position, with or without accommodation, including:
- Walking or standing for extended periods (up to 12 hours)
- Climbing stairs
- Lifting up to 50 pounds
- Carrying up to 30 pounds
- Lowering up to 30 pounds from a height of 4 feet
- Pushing up to 250 pounds using carts or tools
- Visual acuity and depth perception
- Working in various temperatures and humidity levels
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED strongly preferred but not required.

Training
On-the-job training provided by experienced Warehouse Clerks, Warehouse Supervisor, or Warehouse Manager.
Schedule
Standard 8-hour shifts:
- First shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Second shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Third shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
