Warehouse Material Handler II
About the role
Ryder is seeking a Temp Full Time Material Handler in Burlington, North Carolina. This position involves handling products such as body wash and lotions using stand-up forklifts and cherry pickers.
Responsibilities
- Read, interpret, and apply Warehouse Management System (WMS) order instructions
- Recognize and correct potential process errors before they affect customers
- Recognize and handle damaged product at any stage of warehousing
- Pull orders accurately as assigned
- Stage orders according to carrier location and verify quantities
- Prepare receiving, storage, and shipping documentation
- Be aware of and follow safety and security policies and procedures
- Train others on various warehouse functions, including powered industrial lift equipment operation
- Perform housekeeping duties and other tasks as assigned
- Operate forklift equipment or other warehouse machinery
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of two years of related warehouse and powered industrial lift experience required
- Ability to read, do basic math, understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Ability to input data into a computer system
- Work overtime as assigned
