Ryder is hiring a Storeroom Attendant / Forklift Operator in Baton Rouge, LA. This position offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career path you can feel good about.

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound products such as bolts, cables, reels, wires, and anchors.
• Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Work in a clean, organized, and well-run facility to ensure the safest supply chain environment.
• Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization.
• Perform tasks within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Support the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment.
• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects of the automated packing system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience.
• A valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong technical aptitude, including using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, scanners, and entering orders into a WMS System.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Able to work both indoors and outside.
• A valid Driver's License and the ability to meet Ryder's driving qualifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• A valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to be a team player and work within a diverse work environment.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
• Able to work within a diverse work environment.
• Highly thorough and dependable.
• Able to work using health and safety methods.
• Available to work on a flexible schedule on the various work shifts.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
