About the role

Ryder is hiring a Storeroom Attendant / Forklift Operator in Eads, TN. This role supports distribution across the US in clean, organized, and well-run warehouse facilities focused on safety.

Products handled include inbound items such as bolts, cables, reels, wires, and anchors. Equipment used includes stand-up and sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks.

Pay

Hourly pay: $16.50 per hour.

Schedule

First Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Clean driving record and personal vehicle for travel within the area (25–50% of the day)
  • Strong technical aptitude, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, scanners, and WMS systems
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors
  • One (1) year or more of related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
  • Valid forklift operator’s license/certification
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a diverse environment
  • Highly thorough, dependable, and punctual with good attendance
  • Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts as needed
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices

Responsibilities

  • Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
  • Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract
  • Accurately pick, pack, audit, induct totes, stage products, and load/unload trucks
  • Handle day-to-day warehouse paperwork (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
  • Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core production hours
  • Perform other duties as assigned
