About the role

Camfil USA, a leading manufacturer of premium clean air solutions, provides commercial and industrial systems for air filtration and air pollution control that improve worker and equipment productivity, minimize energy use, and benefit human health and the environment. The Material Handler is responsible for the completeness and accuracy of all customer orders filled.

Responsibilities

  • Retrieve customer orders or freight packing slips making sure part number and quantity are accurate for both inbound and outgoing products.
  • Build and identify pallets with orders and position to the wrapper machine.
  • Shrink wrap customer orders to pallets and move them to the loading docks.
  • Repack and weigh any order that require such handling.
  • Report quality and inventory variances.
  • Stock raw and finished goods in warehouse manually or by using warehouse equipment.
  • Distribute all raw materials to the production lines using requisitions by allocating the right materials from the warehouse.
  • Perform all ERP transactions to receive raw materials into inventory system and from the warehouse to production departments
  • Arrange and execute floor stock replenishments.
  • Pick, transact, and move material accurately using bar code scanning technology
  • Load customer orders' pallets on trucks (LTL or FTL) once they have been billed and released to ship.
  • Maintain equipment and report on malfunctions.
  • Make sure a clean workspace is kept all time by organizing all pallets in the warehouse and replacing any broken box.
  • Follow facility and safety rules as well as company regulations and core values.
  • Support and perform other warehouse functions as needed.
  • Assemble custom filter orders
  • Drive Camfil van or box truck for local deliveries

Qualifications

The minimum qualifications for this role include a high school diploma or equivalent and 2-3 years' experience in a warehouse environment. The ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak English effectively is required.

Skills

  • Ability to work with numerous large numbers and multiple units of measure.
  • Ability to operate a forklift machine.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems (barcode, AS400 program).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proven experience as order picker or another warehouse position.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in computer systems including Microsoft Suite.
  • Excellent organization and efficient time management skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Bilingual (English - Spanish) not required, but preferred.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to office, warehouse, and plant environments. The work environment will require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in certain areas. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
