Warehouse Material Handler 1-C

Ryder is hiring a permanent full-time Material Handler in Antioch, TN. This role supports distribution across the US in a state-of-the-art warehouse environment.

About the role

Manage inbound products such as bolts, cables, reels, wires, and anchors using stand-up and sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.

Pay

$17.65 per hour, paid weekly.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Accurately pick, pack, audit, induct totes, stage products, and load/unload trucks
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core production hours
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Clean driving record and personal vehicle for travel within the area (25–50% of the day)
• Strong technical aptitude, including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, scanners, and WMS systems
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Able to work both indoors and outdoors
• One (1) year or more of related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid forklift operator’s license or certification
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a diverse environment
• Highly thorough, dependable, and punctual with a good attendance record
• Able to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative
• High level of accuracy, even under pressure
• Able to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
• Able to stand for long periods
• Available to work a flexible schedule across various shifts
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices
