Warehouse Material Handler-1

Ryder is hiring for permanent full-time Warehouse Material Handler positions in Jackson, Tennessee. Work with state-of-the-art equipment in a safe warehouse environment handling food products.

Pay

Hourly pay: $17.25 per hour (paid weekly).

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more of related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid forklift operator’s license (certified)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work within a diverse environment and maintain professional relationships at all levels
• Highly thorough, dependable, and punctual with a good attendance record
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative
• High level of accuracy, even under pressure
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Must follow health and safety methods
• Must be available for a flexible schedule, including various work shifts
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Ensure accurate picking, packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks
• Handle day-to-day paperwork (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core production hours
• Perform other duties as assigned
