About the role
The Warehouse Maintenance Assistant works with the Facilities manager in the upkeep, maintenance, and/or repair of various equipment and items in the warehouse. This role partners with leadership on maintenance work and special projects.
Responsibilities
- Partner with leadership (Facilities Supervisor, Operations Manager, Director of Operations) on maintenance work and special projects.
- Oversee equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, and inspections.
- Conduct equipment audits and maintain accurate records.
- Manage parts inventory and place orders as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and security protocols.
- Cook up annual fire extinguisher inspections.
- Perform scheduled compressor maintenance (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
- Aid with battery care, including charging and watering.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the work area at the end of each shift.
- Maintain and repair conveyor lanes, modules, and all other associated components.
- Maintain and repair EM7 Packsize Box On Demand printers and gluers.
- Perform PIT PM's and repairs as needed.
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- You are a team player who can work with others.
- Able to fully carry out instructions as given.
- Have light electrical experience.
- Have light plumbing experience.
- Computer literacy.
- Able to multitask.
- You have stellar communication skills.
- Flexible attitude.
- Self-motivation and a determination to succeed.
- Detail oriented.
- Prior facilities experience in a warehouse.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand or walk up to 12 hours a day.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds constantly.
